A Prayer for Usefulness

Lord, let me be Your shoes.  I want You to totally fill me with Yourself, just as a foot fills a shoe.  Then Lord, I want You to use me to carry You wherever You desire.  Shoes are always pointed in the direction their wearers want to go.  Lord, point me where You want to go.  Shoes always travel at the speed their wearer decides to travel.  Lord, pick up my speed when You wish to travel quickly, and don’t let me drag.  And hold me back when You want to move slowly, and don’t let me be tapping your toes.  I don’t mind being plain shoes Lord, and I don’t mind being under the table where no one sees me.  I just want to go where You go and do whatever You are doing.
